| Joyce Deese, Client Advocate |
CLIENT
ADVOCATE
Joyce Deese 1) How I found out about Life
Choices: When my daughter’s best friend went through the WOMB
program, it helped her so much I was impressed and interested in learning more. There was an open house at the center
and I went, while I was there I felt an urge to volunteer. 2) I am interested in serving because...there
is such a great need for a facility like this not only to help in a crisis pregnancy, but to help these young mothers learn
how to raise healthy, productive, Christ-centered next generation. One of the reasons I love Life Choices so much is a selfish
one. I get to be around such Godly precious women who have enriched my life, and I enjoy going through my clients' pregnancies
with them. My heart goes out to the young mothers of Life Choices, and I feel I am helping in some small way. God led me to
Life Choices and has blessed me for it. 3) A few facts about myself: I was born and raised in Memphis, TN. My husband Jimmy and I recently celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary.
We have two beautiful daughters (beautiful inside and out) and five wonderful grandchildren. We moved to Dyersburg in 1972. 4) Other areas of interest: I enjoy scrapbooking and researching our genealogy. We both enjoy
water sports and traveling. I was a member of an Evangelical Methodist church for over thirty years where I was the treasurer.
Our little church closed and I am now looking for a new church home. I am enjoying visiting friends' and families'
churches until I find the one that is right for me. I have received a blessing from each one.
CLIENT ADVOCATE Jan Humpolick 1) How I found out about Life Choices: From the Diaper Shower at our church, then newspaper articles, and a friend in our new church
attended the training. 2) I am
interested in serving because... women in this crisis
situation need hope, love, the truth, and a friend interested and focused on them. 3) A few facts about my self: I've been married to Jim 25 years, and we have a 18 year old son graduating this year
and a daughter in 7th grade at Dyersburg Middle School. 4) Other areas of interest: I
am a member of the First Church of Nazarene. I am also a bookworm, but love to travel, love to camp, and work with Cub
Scouts and Girl Scouts.
CLIENT ADVOCATE Martha Hoff 1) How I found out about Life Choices: Through Reni Bumpas and our church, First Presbyterian Church 2) I am interested in serving because... I have a compassion for hurting people and want to help with God's help and direction. 3) A few facts about myself: I am a retired mother, grandmother, and wife. spare time wisely and as God directs. I enjoy painting and reading. 4) Other areas of interest: 18 year retired secretary of First Presbyterian. My interests are my family, church, painting, my friends,
and baby sitting grandchildren when I can.
CLIENT ADVOCATE Betty Pease 1)
How I found about Life Choices: Years ago there was a Concerned Women of America group that met in Dyersburg to pray about
a Crisis Pregnancy Center and I went with a group to tour the one in Jackson - so I've been keeping up with the progress
of this one from inception. 2) I am interested
in serving because... I believe that if
you want to discourage abortion it's a must to offer hope and help and love. 3) A few fact about myself: I'm married to Roger (when I was 16 he was 19) soon to be 43 years. I have three daughters and nine
grandchildren - 6 grandsons and 3 granddaughters from their first year in college to the first grade. 4) Other areas of interest: I'm a member of Tucker Street Church and I've always loved nursery and children's

have five or six grand-dogs!
CLIENT ADVOCATE Theresa Kimbro 1) How
I found out about Life Choices: Tammy Hendrix and Erin Hollingsworth 2) I am interested in serving because... I
really have a heart for this generation - to reach them. Also to see more adoptions rather than abortions - to help
in some way to see that. 3) A few facts about myself: I have worked with the youth of
our church for 10 years. I presently work with the drama team and teach Sunday School. I'm a house wife and

RIGHT CHOICES OF WEST TENNESSEE
Right Choices of West Tennessee is a federally funded character development project for teens in grades 6—12.
Using an abstinence/healthy relationship curriculum approved by the Department of Education, Right Choices educates
students within the public school systems about waiting to have sex
until marriage as well as the benefits of a stable and faithful marriage.
This program
is not a ministry, and complies with
the legislative definition of abstinence education in Section 510 of Title V
of the Social Security Act. Right Choices of West Tennessee is funded by the CBAE (Community-Based Abstinence Education) Grant
through the US Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children and
Families.
When the program was launched
in the 2003—2004 school year, only 68% of students served
by Right Choices were committed to
abstaining from sexual activity until marriage, compared to 80% of students making that commitment
in 2006-2007. Additionally, in 2003—2004, 77% of
those students indicated an understanding of the social, psychological,
and health gains to be realized by abstaining from premarital
sexual activity, compared to 89% in 2006—2007. To learn more about Right Choices of West Tennessee, please visit http://www.rightchoicestn.com
More than half of the
Right Choices staff either has or is currently working towards a Master’s Degree.
